During Michaelmas and Lent Term 2008/9, the Hub hosted weekly Hub Nights at the Café Project (on Jesus Lane) every Wednesday, from 7pm till late. The evening started with a short event, such as a film screening, organised by a different member group each week. This provided a regular focus for people interested in learning more about different social issues, from climate change to human rights to international development. Afterwards, the Café remained open so discussion could continue informally over tea and cake.
